About The Position

Roush provides product development solutions across a range of industries, including transportation, aerospace, defense, and theme parks. The Assembler II performs basic assembly, installation, manufacturing, and cleaning duties in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, learning from and assisting a Senior Assembler. This position is located in Livonia, Michigan.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 3 years of automotive experience.
Ability to work independently while following specific work instructions.
Understanding and proper use of calibrated torque tools.
Proficiency with computer usage.
Ability to learn and follow written instructions.
Ability to perform fine hand manipulation.
Ability to use power tools.
Attention to detail and quality of work.
Possess basic mechanic tools.
Knowledge of basic automotive maintenance.

Nice To Haves

High school automotive shop classes.
Experience performing personal vehicle maintenance.
Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
Ability to work overtime as needed, including weekends.

Responsibilities

Train with a Senior Assembler to assemble products and sub-components for vehicle production and other products.
Support vehicle and material movement in and around the facility.
Follow electronic build book assembly instructions.
Clean and prepare components and vehicles for production.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment and follow established safety procedures.
Learn and perform assigned production procedures to support vehicle and product production.
Perform work on vehicle systems.
Perform fabrication tasks, including grinding, cutting, and drilling with fixtures and templates.
