About The Position

Dover Food Retail is seeking an Assembler II to set up, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot assembly-line machinery and equipment at a fixed workstation. The role involves installing pieces, parts, or components on products, assemblies, or sub-assemblies as they move along the line, as well as moving, packing, and sorting raw materials or finished goods. The Assembler II monitors output quality and maintains daily production records used in manufacturing performance analysis. The position works under moderate supervision; work is generally routine but may require interpreting or deviating from standard procedures and communicating information that needs some explanation. The position is listed for a second shift, 3:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. Pay is $21.82–$25.00 per hour, with eligibility to earn commissions based on performance metrics and applicable plan criteria.

Requirements

• Basic knowledge of job procedures and tools, obtained through work experience.
• Vocational or technical education may be required.
• Ability to perform work under moderate supervision.
• Ability to interpret or deviate from standard procedures when needed.
• Ability to communicate information requiring some explanation or interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot manufacturing assembly-line machinery and equipment at a fixed workstation.
• Operate machinery or equipment to install pieces, parts, or components on in-process products, assemblies, or sub-assemblies as they move along the assembly line.
• Move, pack, and sort raw materials or finished goods.
• Monitor output quality to identify, discard, or re-manufacture faulty products.
• Maintain accurate daily assembly production records for manufacturing performance analysis.
