About The Position

The Assembler II assembles, wires, and constructs traffic signals, enclosures, and panels. The role requires attention to detail, adaptability, manual dexterity, mechanical aptitude, and relevant experience. The employee must be able to understand workplace instructions and communicate and complete documentation in English. Requirements

• High school diploma/GED or relevant electronics or assembly experience.
• Three to six years of demonstrated experience performing essential duties in at least two of these areas: load-bay mechanical assembly, electrical wiring, AutoCAD, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), cabinet preparation, cable assembly, final cabinet assembly, or an equivalent area.
• Demonstrated aptitude for electric control equipment.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to perform essential duties using documentation that may be incomplete, including drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), assembly prints, and cut lists.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English sufficiently to understand instructions, complete documentation, and communicate effectively in the workplace.

Responsibilities

• Assemble cabinets using electrical diagrams, assembly drawings, and written instructions with minimal supervision.
• Measure, cut, strip, tin, and crimp wire to specified lengths.
• Safely use powered and non-powered hand tools.
• Interpret blueprints, diagrams, and written instructions to construct subassemblies.
• Terminate and route wires to designated locations according to electrical diagrams.
• Solder wires at specified connection points.
• Complete inventory-tracking documentation accurately and on time.
• Work with Engineering to support product builds based on partial documentation or redline drawings.
• Create or update redline drawings and cut lists with complete and correct information.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
