About The Position
Air Distribution Technologies is seeking an Assembler to join our ASC facility in Tarboro, North Carolina. In this role, you will support the production of high-quality HVAC products by performing a variety of assembly tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position plays a critical role in ensuring products meet customer specifications, quality standards, and production timelines while maintaining a strong commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and technical documents
- Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and basic production equipment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to communicate effectively in English (verbal and written)
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred
- Previous experience in HVAC or mechanical product assembly
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles or continuous improvement practices
- Experience working in a team-based production environment
Responsibilities
- Perform a combination of production assembly tasks using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment
- Assemble parts and components into subassemblies or finished products following detailed instructions and procedures
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders to ensure accurate assembly
- Inspect materials and completed work to ensure conformance to specifications and quality standards
- Identify and report defective materials, equipment issues, or process concerns to supervisors
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with 5S and safety guidelines
- Follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs), job safety analyses (JSAs), and PPE requirements
- Collaborate with team members, supervisors, and other departments to meet production goals
- Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce waste
- Demonstrate flexibility by working in various production areas and supporting different shifts or overtime as needed
