About The Position

Elkhart Plastics, a Myers Industries company, is seeking an Assembler I to take various molded products and trim and/or assemble them into finished goods within quality and efficiency standards. Elkhart Plastics is one of the largest custom rotational molding companies in the United States with over 500 employees and 33 years of experience. They create custom plastics for virtually every application imaginable in an almost endless variety of shapes and thicknesses, serving industries from storage tanks and boat seating to agricultural applications and intermediate bulk containers.

Requirements

Ability to use hand and power tools
Ability to operate and maintain industrial equipment
Good communication skills
Good organizational skills
Ability to read and write proficiently in English

Nice To Haves

1-2 years’ experience in manufacturing preferred

Responsibilities

Pull and review work instructions prior to starting a job.
Review production priorities.
Ensure that all necessary information and tools required for each job are in place before work begins.
Retrieve product for trimming or assembly and move to designated areas when complete.
Finish molded product using various methods designated for the job, including hand and power tools, pallet jack, hot iron, and open flame.
Complete product labels and ensure product is identified throughout each operation.
Perform final inspection of product to ensure good quality before shipping to the customer.
Use of Reporting system to record production.
