About The Position

The Assembler I position proficiently produces quality assemblies in one (1) of the following work centers including gear case, spinners, chain shields, and/or final subassembly. Key Responsibilities RESULTS | 50% Critical Verifies assembly by visual inspection and utilization of measurements specified on prints and procedures. Completes work assignments within standard guidelines of time and quality. Performs quality checks on work completed. Productivity / Job Knowledge Assembles some mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components. Accurately reads prints and assembles parts accordingly. Assists with training of others as needed. Keeps work area clean and orderly, performs required PM’s on machines and equipment and reports all non-conformities to Line Lead, Supervisor or Maintenance until the problem has been rectified. Dependability Demonstrates a good attendance record; is aware of the impact that missing work will have on the customer as well as co-workers. Completes goals/projects on time or ahead of schedule. Responds to work assignments and requests by being cooperative and available. Follows through and meets commitments. Available as a resource to subordinates and/or peers. Requirements

  • 0-2 years of experience; previous manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Basic computer skills are required; must be able to use computer systems to look-up information, clock-in/clock-out, and report work activities.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word is preferred.
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Good math skills are required; ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to read a tape measure up to 1/32”.
  • Experience with hand tools including power tools such as impact drivers and drills.
  • Employee is required to wear steel toed shoes, gloves, and safety glasses.
  • Handles hazardous waste according to company policy and participates in annual hazardous waste training.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word is preferred.
