Assembler I - Durango -2nd Shift
About The Position
The Assembler I supports general assembly production and may work at any station during the workday based on staffing and production needs. Employees may rotate among workstations or be assigned to a specific station depending on experience, training, and skill level. The position involves brazing, production assembly, and testing, with a need to meet production takt time and test units according to completion dates. The role is onsite five days per week and may require certification to operate Mules, Tuggers, Powered Industrial Trucks, Stackers, or Overhead Cranes, as well as maintaining braze certification.
Requirements
- Basic math skills, including understanding decimals and fractions for measurement.
- Ability to read and write English to understand assembly directions, Work Order packets, and safety instructions.
- Completion of basic Forklift Training and Safety Orientation.
- Crane certification.
- Safety-oriented approach.
- Good verbal communication and analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Ability to work in a team setting and demonstrate a positive work attitude.
- Ability to keep up with high volume in a fast-moving environment.
- Ability to lift 35 lbs, as requested.
Responsibilities
- Perform brazing, production assembly, and testing processes.
- Test units according to their completion dates.
- Meet takt time requirements.
- Follow 5S standards for the work area.
- Rotate among workstations or work at an assigned station according to staffing and production needs.
