Assembler I (Railing - 2nd Shift)

About The Position

The Assembler I fabricates component parts or assembles finished products according to customer specifications. The role secures and maintains the component parts and supplies needed for operations. This position is for the Railing department on the second shift, Monday through Thursday, from 1 p.m. to 11 p.m., with the opportunity for overtime. Pay is $21–$23 per hour, depending on experience.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
Six months of manufacturing and assembly experience preferred; no minimum experience is required.
Working knowledge of basic math preferred.

Responsibilities

Complete work area setup.
Fit parts together according to prescribed instructions and quality standards.
Operate hand tools as needed to complete assembly.
Stack completed products according to established procedures and, when required, cover, label, and band components or finished products.
Ensure the work area is safe, clean, and organized, and equipment is safe to operate.
Complete pre-shift equipment startup inspection checklists and report problems or concerns.
Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
Maintain production records as required.
Check materials and finished products for compliance with standards.
Perform duties consistent with established safety and quality procedures, rules, and standards.
Participate in safety, continuous improvement, and other programs and meetings.
Perform other duties as assigned.
