Assembler I- Cut and Grinder Fiberglass
About The Position
Since 1982, Goldshield has set the bar in the fiberglass industry. Our facility is located in Decatur, Indiana, where we manufacture fiberglass parts for Fleetwood, Honda, and Daimler. Goldshield also manufactures fiberglass for school buses, emergency vehicles and heavy-duty trucks. Goldshield is part of Terex Corporation, a global designer and manufacturer of specialized vehicles and equipment, including fire and emergency vehicles, waste and recycling equipment, RV's, and machinery supporting construction, utilities, and infrastructure. Requirements
- Preferred 1-year experience in manufacturing, fiberglass, cutting, grinding, finishing, or production.
- Preferred high school diploma or GED.
- Ability to complete required Goldshield training certification.
- Ability to safely use cut/grind tools and equipment.
- Ability to follow directions, maintain attendance expectations, and meet production standards.
- Successful completion of the drug and background screening.
Responsibilities
- Cutting fiberglass parts to the correct size and grinding them to required thickness specifications.
- Performing cut and grind functions while meeting quality and quantity standards.
- Using and maintaining tools, equipment, and jigs properly.
- Following plant safety rules and keeping the work area clean and organized.
- Supporting other tasks or jobs as needed to meet production goals.
