About The Position

L3Harris is seeking an Assembler C. Working with moderate supervision, the Assembler follows formal written procedures and detailed verbal instructions to produce various components and assemble them to the point where they are ready for the next operational level. The role also supports production documentation, environmental responsibilities, safe waste handling, and production demands.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent and at least 6 years of prior relevant experience, or 2 years of post-secondary/associate-level education and 2 years of prior related experience.
• Respirator qualified.

Responsibilities

• Perform surface preparation, apply protective coating, insulate casings and castings, and operate pressure chambers.
• Carry out preparatory tasks as needed in the manufacturing process.
• Manage production documentation and environmental responsibilities, including collecting, containing, and labeling manufacturing waste byproducts.
• Maintain satellite accumulation areas in a safe, orderly manner and in compliance with environmental regulations.
• Contact the Hazardous Waste Control Technician to arrange movement of non-energetic chemical wastes to the chemical waste handling area (CWHA), and energetic wastes to energetic waste accumulation areas or thermal treatment units.
• Immediately report spills of chemicals and/or process water to the Environmental department.
• Implement the facility Emergency Procedures/Contingency Plan in the event of an emergency incident.
• Maintain a high level of awareness for personnel and equipment safety.
• Be available to work other shifts and overtime as needed to meet delivery schedules.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support production demands.
