About The Position

L3Harris is seeking an Assembler C to work with moderate supervision, following formal written procedures and detailed verbal instructions. The role performs tasks to produce various components and assemble them to a point where they are ready for the next operational level. The position also includes production documentation and environmental responsibilities, including handling manufacturing waste and responding to spills or emergency incidents. The employee may be asked to perform other duties to support production demands and must maintain a high consciousness for personnel and equipment safety.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience, or 2 years of post-secondary education/an Associate's Degree and 2 years of prior related experience.
Respirator qualified.

Previous manufacturing experience desired.

Responsibilities

Perform surface preparation, apply protective coatings, insulate casings and castings, and operate pressure chambers.
Carry out preparatory tasks as needed in the manufacturing process.
Manage production-related documentation and handle environmental responsibilities.
Collect, contain, and label waste byproducts produced during manufacturing.
Maintain satellite accumulation areas in a safe and orderly manner and in compliance with environmental regulations.
Contact the Hazardous Waste Control Technician to arrange movement of non-energetic chemical wastes to the chemical waste handling area and energetic wastes to energetic waste accumulation areas or thermal treatment units.
Immediately report spills of chemicals and/or process water to the Environmental department.
Implement the facility Emergency Procedures/Contingency Plan in the event of an emergency incident.
Perform other duties as assigned to support production demands.
Maintain a high consciousness for personnel and equipment safety.
