About The Position

The Assembler B works under close supervision of the Lead and/or Production Supervisor and performs simple, repetitive assignments involving magnetic and electromechanical assembly, from simple to semi-complex. Work is completed according to work order instructions, engineering drawings, and manufacturing process specifications. Depending on production requirements, the role may require soldering to military specifications or ANSI-J-STD-001, in addition to mechanical assembly, or may involve only mechanical assembly. The Manager or Supervisor determines the applicable tasks based on production needs.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent and at least 4 years of relevant experience, or 2 years of post-secondary education/an associate degree and 0 to 2 years of related experience.
2–5 years of experience assembling electromechanical hardware, preferably to military requirements and specifications.
Ability to pass a soldering test and obtain ANSI-J-STD-001 and/or IPC610 certification when required.

Nice To Haves

Perform varnish and heat-treat operations for products as required.
Perform simple to semi-complex cable assembly according to shop order instructions and engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

Assemble electromechanical parts and make inner-chassis wiring connections using various tools.
Assemble magnetic products through all process stages, from core and coil assembly to final assembly.
Apply the standard sequence for installing hardware.
Read hardware descriptions in engineering bills of materials and identify hardware characteristics.
Pass the soldering test and obtain ANSI-J-STD-001 certification when required.
