About The Position

Join the manufacturing team in Sumter, SC as an Assembler 2, General (Press Operator). This role operates rubber press equipment and supports high-quality production in a safe, efficient workplace. The position pays $18.50 per hour and follows an F Shift schedule from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m., with rotating days that include weekends and provide multiple days off each week. The work environment is hot and non-climate-controlled. Steel toe or composite safety shoes are required. Immediate openings are available, and candidates may begin work while background checks are processed.

Requirements

At least 5 years of experience in manufacturing or press operation.
High school diploma or GED.
Ability to work 8 p.m. to 8 a.m. on an F Shift with rotating days, including weekends.
Comfort working in a hot, non-climate-controlled environment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.
Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
Steel toe or composite safety shoes required.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in rubber press operation.
Familiarity with production documentation.
Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

Load raw materials into press equipment and distribute them accurately for consistent product quality.
Operate and monitor press machines, maintaining correct lubrication, temperature, tonnage, and cycle times.
Identify and report equipment or process issues to supervisors or technicians.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area and properly dispose of scrap and contaminants.
Complete production, quality, and process documentation accurately.
Trim and inspect manufactured parts and correct defects.
Process finished pads through cooling units, then stack and store them appropriately.
Follow safety and environmental requirements and Quality System Regulations (QSRs).
