About The Position

Join our innovative team in Irvine, CA as an Assembler 1, Instrument, where you will play a vital role in the manufacture and assembly of cutting-edge medical devices. This contractor position offers hands-on involvement in a clean, organized environment with a focus on quality, compliance, and teamwork. Enjoy a consistent Monday-Thursday day shift (5am-3:30pm), competitive pay at $22/hour, and the opportunity to support both production and R&D initiatives.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years direct experience in medical device assembly or a related field
  • Proficient in using measurement tools such as microscopes
  • Experience with GMPs, manufacturing processes, and equipment troubleshooting
  • Effective communication skills; ability to comprehend technical documentation in English
  • Ability to perform basic math and interpret specifications
  • Comfortable standing, walking, sitting for extended periods, and lifting up to 50 lbs
  • Flexible and reliable with strong attention to detail and focus under pressure

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Familiarity with FDA, ISO, and CMDR compliance standards
  • Experience supporting R&D or process improvement projects

Responsibilities

  • Assemble medical device components according to production schedules using hand and small power tools
  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot manufacturing equipment to ensure smooth operations
  • Perform inspections, tests, and calibrations to verify product quality and compliance with specifications
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and clean production area, including cleanroom and packaging environments
  • Follow all safety, GMP, FDA, ISO, and CMDR regulatory requirements and company procedures
  • Support special projects, R&D builds, and assist with equipment maintenance as needed
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and report issues promptly
