About The Position

Under direct supervision, trains to perform duties related to the preparation and manufacture of active pharmaceutical ingredients, intermediates, and/or medical devices in accordance with standard operating procedures and applicable quality, environmental, and safety regulations. The role requires attention to quality, safety, environmental matters, and proper housekeeping while supporting manufacturing operations.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED preferred.
Four months of work experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Ability to read, write, and understand basic English preferred.
Operating skills with manufacturing equipment, tools, and a hand/pallet jack preferred.
Problem-solving skills highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Develop a basic understanding of production processes in the assigned area and working knowledge of manufacturing equipment.
Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and standard operating procedures.
Transport materials of varying weights in accordance with safety guidelines, using material-handling equipment and additional assistance as needed.
Monitor personal and peer behaviors, the work environment, and housekeeping to demonstrate adherence to safety procedures.
Be available for overtime as needed.
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment; identify, report, and respond appropriately to work-area hazards, including spills, accidents, and near misses; maintain proper housekeeping; and label and store chemicals properly.
Take responsibility for the environmental effects of work performed and identify and record environmental problems as they arise.
Complete assigned regulatory training, including GMP, ISO 14001, and OSHA training.
Complete the Operator Training Program according to established guidelines.
Perform other projects or assignments as requested by management.
Look for ways to simplify or improve products, services, systems, and processes.
