About The Position

Our Brucejack Gold Mine, a high-grade underground mine in beautiful northern British Columbia, is located approximately 65 kilometres north of Stewart. Brucejack is a fly-in/fly-out operation with pick-up points across Western Canada, making it easy for people from different places to join us. We work closely with local First Nations communities including the Nisga’a, Tahltan, Gitanyow, and Gitxsan, to build respectful partnerships and celebrate our shared community. You’ll stay in private rooms with individual washrooms, enjoy balanced meals prepared by our exceptional culinary team, and have access to a 24-hour snack and sandwich bar. For creative downtime, our music room is a fully equipped space where you can play or listen to music. Requirements

High school diploma with experience in a laboratory, mineral processing, or technical work environment.
Basic knowledge of chemistry or mineral processing; formal chemistry education is an asset.
Ability to learn and apply fire assay techniques accurately and safely.
Strong safety awareness and ability to work independently.
Effective communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
Basic computer proficiency and willingness to learn laboratory systems (LIMS).
Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting up to 50 lbs and working 12-hour shifts.

Nice To Haves

Formal chemistry education is an asset.

Responsibilities

Perform fire assay procedures including weighing, fluxing, fusion, and cupellation.
Prepare and analyze ore-grade and high-grade samples with precision and attention to detail.
Conduct basic preventive maintenance on laboratory equipment and report issues.
Monitor laboratory consumables and maintain adequate inventory levels.
Record testing data, quality control results, and laboratory observations.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment while following SOPs and site safety requirements.
Assist with sample preparation and other laboratory activities as required.
