About The Position

Nevada Gold Mines is hiring an Assay Laboratory Technician at its Carlin Analytical Lab. The role is responsible for preparing ore, process, and exploration samples. The technician may also work in fire assay and the wet laboratory, and operate analytical instrumentation. The role requires working a rotating schedule of nights and days and includes performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Knowledge of computer operation is required.
• An exemplary safety and attendance record is required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. without reasonable accommodations is required.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and prioritize a heavy workload is required.
• Ability to communicate effectively with peers in a team environment is required.
• Ability to work a rotating schedule of nights and days is an essential function of the role.

Nice To Haves

• Six months of experience in an analytical laboratory is preferred.
• Familiarity with chemicals and laboratory procedures is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ore samples, process samples, and exploration samples.
• Work in fire assay and the wet laboratory, and operate analytical instrumentation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
