About The Position

Lakeside Industries Inc. is hiring an Asphalt Plant Foreman for a union position. The role is responsible for operating and maintaining the hot mix plant, producing hot mix, and selling hot mix to customers. The Foreman participates in and promotes the Company Safety Program, coordinates mix deliveries to Lakeside and customer crews, orders liquid asphalt for timely delivery, maintains liquid asphalt and aggregate inventories, and operates computerized controls to load trucks safely and efficiently. The position also participates as a crew member in production operations and leads plant preventative maintenance. Lakeside Industries is a family-owned asphalt manufacturing and construction company serving Federal, State, City, and private customers across the Pacific Northwest. Requirements

Thorough knowledge of asphalt plant operations, including mix designs.
Basic computer skills.
Mechanical knowledge and demonstrated proficiency in welding and cutting operations.
Some electrical training and experience.
Knowledge of practices and procedures for developing and maintaining preventative maintenance programs.
Understanding of machine specifications.
Good interpersonal and social skills, with effective written and verbal communication.
Ability to build effective customer relationships, both internal and external.
Ability to work with little supervision.
Strong leadership skills and ability to supervise and direct employees.
Ability to be a productive team player and self-starter.
Ability to work well under pressure.
Availability to work extended hours, including nights and weekends.
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
Must be a member of the IUOE in good standing or willing to become a member.

Nice To Haves

Five years of experience in asphalt plant operations preferred.
Community leadership and involvement is a plus.

Responsibilities
