About The Position

St. Paul’s School seeks intern teachers for its Advanced Studies Program for the summer of 2027. Positions will be filled on a rolling basis beginning in December. The deadline for applications for ASP 2027 is January 15, 2027. The 2027 ASP Intern Teacher dates of employment are June 21 - August 1, 2027. The Advanced Studies Program is an initiative of St. Paul’s School, a residential, co-educational secondary school in Concord, NH affiliated with the Episcopal Church and welcoming of all faiths. The ASP actively seeks applications from candidates who will promote the School’s commitment to engaging a highly talented and diverse faculty. A successful candidate will embrace the fully residential living experience and have demonstrated an interest in engaging a diverse student body.

Requirements

Demonstrate a genuine interest in being a member of a community of learners.
Willingness to work hard.
Strong academic record.
Completion of background checks which include checking references, criminal history records, social media, motor vehicle records, and verifications of your previous employment and education.

Nice To Haves

Applicants who will have completed their sophomore year through recent college graduates.
ASP interns are typically rising seniors.
Education courses are not a prerequisite.

Responsibilities

Assist their assigned, experienced teacher in presenting lessons.
Supervise evening study hours.
Live in dormitories along with students, other interns, and a house supervisor.
Oversee and instruct students in various sports and activities four afternoons a week.
Evening house supervision and evening library and classroom supervision on a regular basis.
Attend interfaith chapel services four mornings a week.
Attend weekly intern meetings.
