About The Position

Short Story is hiring motivated, hardworking, and responsible Order Fulfillment Associates to join its warehouse team in South San Francisco. The role handles daily warehouse operations, including picking and packing customer orders, processing returns, and organizing new inventory. Associates help ensure orders are accurate and clothing is professionally prepared and presented. The position is onsite, full-time, and pays $19–$20 per hour; final pay may vary based on skills and experience. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with a 30-minute lunch break. Candidates who can start immediately are sought.

Requirements

Excellent attendance, punctuality, and responsibility.
Good communication and a positive, willing attitude.
Reliable and accountable.
Able to commute to the South San Francisco warehouse Monday through Friday.
Able to stand for 8–10 hours per day and perform tasks involving standing, walking, pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, stretching, and reaching overhead.
Able to safely climb and descend stairs and lift up to 50 pounds.
Able to start immediately.

Nice To Haves

Experience in clothing retail or warehouse operations is preferred.

Responsibilities

Pick and pack customer orders accurately using an order list.
Fold and prepare clothing professionally so customers receive a well-presented box.
Label and organize incoming merchandise quickly and accurately.
Process customer returns and assist with basic warehouse administrative tasks.
Keep the warehouse clean, safe, and organized.
Meet performance goals and indicators consistently.
