About The Position

HealthPro Pediatrics is hiring an ASL Interpreter for a part-time, 10-hours-per-week role in a school setting in Pasco County, Florida. The interpreter facilitates communication between students who are deaf or hard of hearing and people involved in the educational process, using sign language, oral interpreting, real-time captioning, and/or other communication resources appropriate to qualifying students’ needs. The position pays $38–$41 per hour and is a W-2 position. Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent.
A credential from one of the following: National Interpreter Certification (NIC), Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID), National Association of the Deaf (NAD), Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA), or an educator’s certificate.
Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a deaf-related field.
Experience in a similar position.

Responsibilities

Facilitate communication between deaf or hard-of-hearing students and individuals involved in the educational process.
Use sign language, oral interpreting, real-time captioning, and/or other communication resources to accommodate students who qualify for these services.
