Kean Miller is seeking an experienced Asbestos Litigation Attorney in our Baton Rouge office. Qualified candidates will possess a minimum of seven (7) years of litigation experience with a primary focus on asbestos litigation, toxic-tort defense, products liability, and industrial operations litigation. Candidates must be capable of developing and executing sophisticated litigation strategies and handling all phases of asbestos and exposure-related litigation, including case evaluation, discovery management, expert development, motion practice, depositions, and trial preparation. Experience working with corporate clients, insurers, and national coordinating council is essential.

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years’ defense experience in asbestos or toxic-tort litigation
• Experience representing corporate defendants in occupational-exposure matters, including asbestos, chemical exposure, and product-liability claims
• Strong litigation background with experience in complex, multi-party and multi-district cases
• Experience coordinating discovery, developing experts, and managing large volumes of technical and operational evidence
• Ability to independently handle depositions, hearings, and motion practice, and to collaborate effectively with national counsel and sophisticated corporate clients
