About The Position

The Regina A. Quick Center for the Arts seeks an energetic and creative individual to support arts education and engagement programming for K-12 students, St. Bonaventure University students, and community members. Applicants should have an interest in the fine arts, including visual art, music, theater, and dance, and a desire to help create meaningful arts experiences for diverse audiences. The individual will work with Quick Center staff to plan, coordinate, and support educational and public programs, including visual arts exhibitions, gallery tours, masterclasses in theater, music and dance, and community outreach initiatives.

Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • 2 years of experience in arts education and community engagement.
  • Comfortable working with children, college students, and community members.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with staff, artists, educators, performers, faculty, and community partners.
  • Knowledge of the fine arts, including visual arts, music, theater, and/or dance.
  • Ability to Hang Artwork
  • Ability to climb ladders
  • Ability to lift 50lbs
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis without sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree or college coursework or experience in visual arts, music, theater, dance, arts education, museum studies, art history, arts administration, or a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate Fine Arts educational programs, tours, workshops, masterclasses, exhibitions, performances, and outreach activities.
  • Coordinate all aspects of three annual student art exhibitions featuring K-5, middle school, and high school students, including communication with participating schools and teachers, artwork intake, installation, exhibition logistics, and related events.
  • Collaborate with Curator and Executive Director on a Regional Arts Conference
  • Plan and implement community engagement activities
  • Maintain and organize educational materials, supplies, and program spaces.
  • Assist with exhibition installation, including painting and patching walls, preparing mats and frames, and hanging artwork and signage.
