About The Position

WisEngineering, LLC is seeking candidates for an Artillery Training Instructor position to support Department of Defense programs at Picatinny Arsenal in Dover, NJ. The role involves providing subject matter expertise, classroom and hands-on instruction, and live-fire supervision for U.S. artillery systems, munitions, and fire control systems. The successful candidate will support training program development, New Equipment Training (NET), and product integration. This is a direct W2 employee position with WisEngineering.

Requirements

  • US Citizen with the ability to obtain a security clearance.
  • Active Secret Security Clearance required.
  • Must be legally and physically eligible to handle weapons, energetic materials, and munitions.
  • Willing and able to travel up to 50% (CONUS and OCONUS).
  • Able to operate in extreme environments (high altitude, desert heat, arctic cold, rough terrain) and work long/irregular hours, including shift work and combat zones.
  • Willing and able to supervise live-fire operations on U.S., foreign military, and contractor installations.
  • Proven background delivering technical/military instruction via both in-person and remote methods.
  • Hands-on operational knowledge of 105mm and 155mm towed and self-propelled artillery systems and precision-guided munitions.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with the Advanced Field Artillery Tactical Data System (AFATDS) for fire support planning and execution.
  • Hands-on experience with: Profiler Meteorological System, Digital Imagery Exploitation Engine (DIEE v2.0), Precision fuze-setting tools and electronic munition interfaces.
  • Strong ability to operate effectively within joint government-contractor teams.

Responsibilities

  • Provide subject matter expertise, classroom/hands-on instruction, and live-fire supervision for U.S. towed/self-propelled artillery systems, precision-guided munitions, and fire control systems.
  • Support DEVCOM-AC and PME AS&A in training program development, New Equipment Training (NET), and product integration.
  • Deliver classroom and practical field instruction (in-person and remote) to U.S. military, government, contractor, and foreign national personnel.
  • Lead training on currently fielded 105mm and 155mm towed and self-propelled cannons, manual/digital fire control systems, fuzes, propellants, projectiles, and precision-guided munitions.
  • Oversee and assist military crews during live-fire training exercises, maintaining strict safety protocols.
  • Teach and operate manual and automated cannon fire direction, including troubleshooting voice and digital system integrations.
  • Deliver instruction on precision targeting, Collateral Damage Estimation (CDE), and weaponeering.
  • Provide operator-level insight to engineering teams supporting new product development, training materials, and fuze-setting/fire control systems (e.g., AXS implementation).
