The Bettis Atomic Power Laboratory Safety Training group is seeking an experienced, energetic, and motivated candidate with a passion for providing quality training in safety and industrial hygiene topical areas. As part of the instructor team, you will be a significant contributor to ensuring a safe work environment for our employees and to bolster the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program's commitment to a proactive occupational safety & health culture. This position requires a firm understanding of work practices along with developing an understanding of requirements, researching the topical area (including collaborating with Subject Matter Experts). You will develop and deliver engaging training materials, by a variety of means, and document all aspects of the training cycle. Depending on the program taught, there may also be written and/or hands-on (practical) examinations to be developed and administered. The selected candidate requires the ability to work and excel in a team environment collaborating with instructors both locally and across the Naval Nuclear Laboratory (NNL) to Advance Safety, Teamwork and Learning. Must be a self-starter with a "Customer First" approach.
