About The Position

The Director, US Army Programs provides expertise to the Aerospace & Mission Systems Segment Leadership and its Business Areas. This role supports business development by identifying, qualifying, creating, and prioritizing Army business opportunities. It involves developing marketing plans, capture strategies, and supporting Industry Days, Symposiums, Professional Events, Conferences, and Trade Shows. The position also supports current business activities through regular interface with Department of the Army Staff and Secretariat organizations. This role requires expertise and knowledge of the Headquarters Department of the Army, including the Army Staff, Secretariat, and Program Acquisition Executive (PAE) organizations. The position will develop and maintain close trusted partner relationships with offices of senior Army and Army Civilian customers, industry partners, competitors, and suppliers primarily located within the National Capital Region. The position will coordinate with Aerospace & Mission Systems Business Development, Engineering, and Program Management personnel to strategize and support briefings to customers that highlight BAE Systems capabilities and solutions. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet the eligibility requirements for access to classified information as well as maintain BAE Systems’ highest ethical standards.

Requirements

  • Secret clearance, Top Secret clearance eligibility
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Tactical experience with US Army ground maneuver, fires, aviation, or C2 units and functions
  • Experience with HQDA, ASCC and/or ACOM Staff Level Operations, Planning, Acquisition, or Budgeting.
  • Understanding of DoW and Army Requirements, Acquisition and/or Budget development processes
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Thorough understanding of the US Army market, its customers and the ability to think strategically and champion future opportunities for Aerospace & Mission Systems
  • Thorough knowledge of the Department of the Army corporate process for Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution (PPBE).
  • Experience working in the Army or Joint Staff.
