About The Position

Indiana Tech is seeking a full-time faculty member in Artificial Intelligence (AI) to join the Talwar College of Engineering and Computer Sciences. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to innovative undergraduate and graduate programs and prepare students for leadership roles in the technology sector. The ideal candidate will have expertise in AI and related areas such as machine learning, deep learning, computer vision, natural language processing, foundation models, large language models, and emerging AI methodologies. The role involves teaching in both face-to-face and online formats, developing new courses and programs, enhancing existing curricula, advising students, participating in recruitment and retention efforts, and collaborating across disciplines. The faculty member will also maintain academic records, support accreditation and assessment, contribute to ABET initiatives, and engage in professional development and service. This is a 12-month teaching position that can be either tenure-track or Professor of Practice, depending on qualifications.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, or a closely related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences through strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to teach across multiple programs, including artificial intelligence, computer science, computer engineering, cybersecurity, and information systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Terminal degree is preferred.
  • College-level teaching experience.
  • Online teaching experience.
  • Industry experience in artificial intelligence, machine learning, software development, data science, cybersecurity, or related fields (especially for Professor of Practice).
