Artificial Intelligence Engineer
About The Position
Accel Entertainment, Inc. is seeking an Artificial Intelligence Engineer to collaborate with business and technical teams to define and deliver AI-driven solutions. This role involves translating business needs into actionable AI strategies, supporting engineering teams in scaling effectively, and acting as a subject matter expert in AI training and knowledge-sharing. The engineer will ensure AI systems adhere to governance, compliance, and auditability standards, and will lead the technical design of AI agents and RAG pipelines across various data platforms. Responsibilities include providing technical direction for AI application deployment in Azure, ensuring efficiency and scalability, and supporting the integration of AI agents into enterprise systems and APIs for automation. The role also involves ensuring the deployment and reliability of AI solutions through standardized workflows and CI/CD practices, and providing technical mentorship to junior AI engineers through code reviews, design feedback, and best practices. Additionally, the engineer will develop and deliver AI training materials and enable "train-the-trainer" models to disseminate AI knowledge across technical and business teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI/ML, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in AI engineering, machine learning, or software development with deployed AI solutions
- Strong Python skills for AI/ML, including APIs, testing, and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with ML frameworks (scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face)
- Hands-on with Azure services (Functions, Container Apps, SQL, Blob)
- Hands-on with Data Engineering services (Databricks, data lakes/warehouses)
- Knowledge of AI governance, responsible AI practices, and compliance standards
- Experience integrating enterprise systems with AI platforms (Salesforce, NetSuite, REST/GraphQL APIs)
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills, able to explain AI to varied audiences
