About The Position
The USM Art Department is seeking life models for figure drawing and painting classes for the Academic Year 2026-2027. Models will be asked to hold a variety of poses at the direction of the instructor for varying lengths of time, up to 20 minutes at a time. Most modeling is nude. The role involves working for entire studio class sessions, which are 2 hours and 45 minutes long and meet twice weekly. On occasion, models may be required to work for two consecutive classes. The schedule includes morning, afternoon, and early evening classes. The USM Art Department prioritizes the comfort, privacy, and dignity of all models.
Requirements
- Patience and focus.
- Ability to hold a variety of poses, including short, dynamic postures or extended poses lasting 20 minutes.
- Comfort with sustained moderate physical activity over a 2 hour 45 minute period.
- Comfort with modeling nude.
- Must not require Visa sponsorship support.
