About The Position

The University of Maine at Augusta (UMA) is seeking applicants for its pool of Studio Art Life Models. Life Models pose for students in designated adult studio art classes, primarily at UMA’s Augusta campus, with occasional opportunities at UMA Centers, including Lewiston and Rockland. Models support studio art instruction by helping students develop observational drawing skills, explore human anatomy and proportion, and strengthen artistic techniques. They work in a professional, structured classroom environment under the direction of course instructors. Assignments are scheduled based on course offerings and instructional needs. Hours may vary by semester, and inclusion in the applicant pool does not guarantee regular assignments. The position reports to the Art Department Coordinator and works directly with individual course instructors. The hourly wage is $28.00.
