About the position
The job overview for the Art Director position at AIR COMPANY is to create concepts for social and paid campaigns, as well as other creative content across the brand. The Art Director will work closely with the content and marketing teams, ensuring that the creative work aligns with the company's masterbrand, product, and channel strategies. They will also provide on-set direction for shoots, collaborate with external contractors, and incorporate design and motion graphics into final deliverables. The ideal candidate should have strong visual storytelling skills, experience in art direction or a related field, and excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Responsibilities
- Create concepts for social media campaigns and paid campaigns
- Work with content and marketing teams to develop creative content for the AIR COMPANY brand
- Ensure creative work aligns with brand, product, and channel strategies
- Analyze past performance data to inform creative decisions
- Provide on-set direction for photoshoots and videography
- Write briefs and communicate with external contractors for photography, videography, and 3D
- Collaborate with designers to incorporate design and motion graphics into final deliverables
- Organize and maintain content libraries
- Have 5+ years of experience in art direction or a related field
- Strong visual storytelling and conceptual skills
- Familiarity with digital workflows and brand design systems
- Proficiency in photo and video editing software, such as Adobe Suite, Figma, and Frame.io
- Good typography, layout, and color skills
- Excellent communication, collaboration, project management, and organizational skills
- Enthusiastic, curious, proactive, and positive attitude
- Ability to work with a roster of trusted collaborators
- Bonus points for on-camera skills and experience sourcing sound for video
- Portfolio showcasing concept-based thinking and past campaign-based social and paid work.
Requirements
- 5+ years experience in art direction or related field
- In-house experience for e-commerce or technology brands or related portfolio within agency
- Strong visual storytelling skills, conceptual skills, and solid understanding of craft
- Strong digital background with experience in modern collaborative workflows
- Experience working with brand design systems and digital asset managers
- Strong photo/video editing skills with working knowledge of Adobe Suite, Figma, Frame.io
- Good typography, layout and color skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
