About The Position

PALS is seeking an artistic, energetic, and positive Art Coordinator with a genuine desire to help adults with developmental disabilities through art, creativity, and self-expression. The role involves supervising and supporting individuals, helping deliver services, maintaining a safe and supportive environment, and completing required documentation. The coordinator may also provide non-medical transportation and help maintain the program vehicle and its safety equipment.

Requirements

Successfully pass a DOT physical.
Have a current Ohio Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record.
Pass an acceptable criminal background verification.
Be willing to provide fun yet responsible supervision and assistance to adults with developmental disabilities.
Demonstrate proficiency in verbal and written skills.
Be able to work with diverse groups and individuals.
Maintain current and annual training requirements.

Nice To Haves

College degree from an accredited university or equivalent is preferred.
Considerable skill and passion for arts and crafts.

Responsibilities

Supervise and support adults with developmental disabilities, including assisting with money management, personal hygiene, community integration, and skill building.
Maintain a safe environment for the individuals served.
Keep accurate transportation, billing, and program documentation.
Provide non-medical transportation as needed.
Routinely check the van’s functions and maintain its maintenance schedule.
Ensure safety equipment is in good working order.
Attend and contribute to weekly staff and house meetings.
Model company philosophy, confidentiality, people-first language, empowerment, and fair and reasonable treatment of others.
Maintain confidentiality of HIPAA records and promote Individual Rights.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
