ARS Behavioral Aide Residential, AM

AltaPointe Health•Mobile, AL
•Onsite

About The Position

AltaPointe’s Adult Residential Services supports adults with serious and persistent mental illness who need social rehabilitation and community support. The program combines medical, nursing, and clinical services, and operates group homes supervised 24 hours a day while consumers are on the premises. Its goals are to prevent rehospitalization, support successful community placement, and help consumers rehabilitate and return to the community. Behavioral Aides provide observation and monitoring, assess consumer behavior, teach basic living skills, transport consumers to appointments and outings, distribute medication, assist with personal care, and prepare meals. This is a self-scheduling position: employees select preferred shifts six weeks in advance based on available opportunities at their location or approved alternate locations. Full-time employees work three 12-hour shifts per week (7:00 to 7:00), including rotating weekends. Preferred shifts are not guaranteed, and schedules may change based on facility needs. Overtime may occasionally be required and scheduled in advance.
