ARS Behavioral Aide Residential, PRN

AltaPointe Health•Mobile, AL
•Onsite

About The Position

AltaPointe’s Adult Residential Services serve adults with serious and persistent mental illness who need social rehabilitation and community support. The program combines medical, nursing, and clinical services and operates group homes supervised 24 hours a day while consumers are present. Residential care focuses on rehabilitation, preventing rehospitalization, and maximizing and maintaining successful community placement. Behavioral Aides provide observation and monitoring, assess consumer behavior, train consumers in basic living skills, transport them to appointments and outings, distribute medication, assist with personal care, and prepare meals. This is a self-scheduling PRN position: employees select preferred shifts six weeks in advance based on available work at their location or approved alternate locations. PRN employees are expected to work about once or more per month and may take additional shifts. Preferred shifts are not guaranteed, and schedules may change based on facility needs. Overtime may occasionally be required and scheduled in advance.
