About The Position

The Arrival Enthusiast is a pivotal front-line position, ensuring a seamless, energetic, and welcoming experience for all guests from the moment they step onto the property to their departure. This multifaceted role serves as the premier point of contact at the front drive, combining the essential duties of a Door Attendant and a Bell Attendant while embodying the brand's signature "Positive Stay" spirit. The ideal candidate is a proactive, detail-oriented individual with exceptional customer service skills and a strong passion for sharing local mountain knowledge. The Arrival Enthusiast will be responsible for greeting guests, handling valet needs, assisting with luggage, and providing proactive assistance to enhance each guest's stay.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in a customer service, valet, or bell role—preferably within a hotel, resort, or mountain hospitality environment is a plus.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently, as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in additional languages is a valuable plus.
  • Strong familiarity with Deer Valley, Park City, regional trails, ski resorts, and seasonal outdoor activities.
  • Ability to stand, walk, pull, push, bend, stoop, and lift outdoors in varying alpine weather conditions for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver items weighing between 20–50 pounds regularly (including heavy luggage and sporting gear).
  • Manual dexterity to operate necessary property equipment and safely handle vehicles.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on seasonal resort occupancy.

Responsibilities

  • Warmly greet all guests, visitors, and returning explorers upon arrival and departure at the hotel entrance.
  • Open vehicle doors for arriving guests and seamlessly assist with unloading or loading luggage and outdoor gear.
  • Coordinate, manage, and facilitate local transit options, shuttle services, and ride-shares for guests.
  • Provide clear directions and general information regarding the hotel layout and immediate local area.
  • Maintain an exceptionally clean, safe, orderly, and welcoming front drive and hotel entrance environment.
  • Actively monitor and manage vehicle traffic flow at the entrance to prevent congestion.
  • Assist with property valet parking operations, vehicle safety checks, and key management as required.
  • Assist guests with prompt, careful luggage and equipment delivery directly to and from their rooms.
  • Safely log, store, and retrieve guest luggage, ski/snowboard gear, and seasonal equipment within designated holding areas.
  • Escort guests to their rooms upon request, introducing them to unique room elements and highlighting property amenities.
  • Handle guest mail, packages, specific deliveries, and incoming courier items securely.
  • Assist with any specialized requests, room drops, or tailored needs guests may have regarding their belongings.
  • Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and proper working order of all luggage carts and storage rooms.
  • Anticipate guest needs and offer helpful, personalized solutions proactively.
  • Respond promptly and courteously to guest inquiries, escalating any service challenges to management when necessary.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of daily hotel operations, specialized property features, and seasonal local attractions.
  • Collaborate closely with the Welcome Desk (Front Desk) and other departments to ensure a cohesive, unified guest experience.
  • Adhere to all company and brand safety protocols, security procedures, and operational standards.
  • Participate in scheduled training sessions and departmental meetings as required.
  • Perform other duties as requested by the Front Office leadership team or Director of Operations.
