About The Position

Performs organizational and intermediate level maintenance on C-12/King Air 1900 aircraft. The level of mechanic is based on years of specific C-12 / King Air 1900 hands-on A&P mechanic experience, per the Union CBA. Responsible for servicing, troubleshooting, repairing and modifying aircraft systems to ensure continued airworthiness. These tasks are performed on avionics & electrical systems, engines, flight controls and airframe components. Repairs are performed using hand tools, power tools, machines, and equipment such as shears, sheet metal brake, welding equipment, rivet gun, and drills. Complies with aircraft records procedures outlined in DA PAM 738-751. Ensures aircraft discrepancies are properly recorded in accordance with approved maintenance procedures and within the terms of the contract. Understands the functions and requirements of computerized maintenance software. Performs aircraft recovery missions, as necessary. Performs engine run or taxi operations and must meet the requirement to obtain certification within 12 months of employment. Reads and interprets manufacturers’ maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• A valid (FAA) A&P Certificate is Required.
• US Citizenship is Required to obtain the US Govt Secret Clearance and for facility/base access at this site location.
• Ability to move freely about the interior and in the unpressurized area aft of the aft pressure bulkhead and meet aircraft specific specs for weight limit.
• A Valid Driver's License is Required.
• Must be willing and able to work any shift assigned and/or rotate for a multiple shift operation, per the Union CBA; if applicable.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Govt Secret Security Clearance.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials and authorization.
• All personnel performing engine runs, ground taxi, ordnance loading, or operating self-propelled support equipment within Ten (10) feet of the aircraft silhouette must pass a physical examination from a qualified medical professional prior to conducting these operations, and subsequently on a specified periodic basis, not to exceed Five (5) years. (BMI under 40 is required).
• Comply with the FAA regulations as applicable.
• Possesses a valid FAA Aircraft & Powerplant (A&P) license and shows compliance with FAR 65.83, recent experience requirements.
• Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English.
• Reliable, self-motivated, and able to deal with stressful situations and timelines while maintaining professional and non-confrontational attitude.

Nice To Haves

• A minimum of two (2) years specific C-12/King Air B-1900 hands-on experience preferred for AM-1 level.
• Meet requirement to obtain certification within 12 months of employment.
