About The Position

Saint Luke’s South Hospital in Overland Park, KS is seeking an Armed Security Officer to join their team. The role requires knowledge of all aspects of security, including patrolling, approved security responses, and reporting incidents/issues according to department procedures. Individuals must be 21 years or older to work in this position. The position is full-time, day shift, from 6 am to 4 pm, with a wheel rotation schedule. Saint Luke’s offers highly competitive salaries based on education, certification, and experience, with a starting hourly rate of $25.00/hr.

Requirements

Individuals must be 21 years or older.
Less than 1 year of Armed Private Officer experience.
Basic Life Support RQI - Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI).
Driver's License.
Must be excited about working with people and have a positive attitude.
Strong customer service skills.
Willingness to work.
Adaptable and eager to learn.
Ability to work autonomously as well as with a team.

Responsibilities

Assists employees, patients, and visitors with parking needs.
Controls entrances and exits to parking lots.
Patrols hospital campus and reports safety and security issues according to department procedures.
Provides personal escorts and other routine security services to employees, patients, and visitors.
