About The Position

Saint Luke’s South Hospital in Overland Park, KS is seeking an Armed Security Officer to join their team. This role requires knowledge of all aspects of security, including patrolling, approved security responses, and reporting incidents/issues according to department procedures. Individuals must be 21 years or older to work in this position. The position is full-time day shift, 6am-4pm, with a wheel rotation. The ideal candidate is excited about working with people, has a positive attitude, strong customer service skills, willingness to work, is adaptable, and eager to learn. This position will require working autonomously as well as with a team. Requirements

Individuals must be 21 years or older
Less than 1 year Applicable Experience
Armed Private Officer certification/license
Basic Life Support RQI - Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) certification
Driver's License
Strong customer service skills
Willingness to work
Adaptable
Eager to learn

Responsibilities

Know all aspects of security, including: patrolling, approved security responses, and reporting incidents/issues according to department procedures
Assist employees, patients, and visitors with parking needs, controlling entrances and exits to parking lots
Patrol hospital campus and report safety security issues according to department procedures
Provide personal escorts and other routine security services to employees, patients, and visitors
