You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide professional customer service and communication. Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Have 3 or more years of experience as a military police officer, corrections officer, or armed guard, or be a certified law enforcement graduate.
• Have supervisory experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Baton certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and authorized personnel while carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a government location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials as required, maintain visitor logs, and report unauthorized entry attempts in accordance with site policies.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with emergency services and site representatives when appropriate.
• Carry authorized equipment in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, Allied Universal policies, and site-specific post orders.
