About The Position

As a Security Officer Armed Concealed Carry Patrol in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Security Officer supporting a public transportation location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide professional customer service and communication. You will represent Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and caring culture through teamwork and integrity while helping maintain a secure environment for passengers, visitors, and staff.

Requirements

• Possess a Concealed Carry Weapons Permit.
• Be a graduate of a Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program or equivalent.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
• Possess a Law Enforcement Officer License.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• A Valid Firearms Permit is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to passengers, employees, and visitors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at transit facilities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of stations, platforms, entrances, parking areas, and surrounding perimeters to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and applicable procedures.
• Monitor access points and transit areas, report suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations, and document observations and incidents accurately.
• Carry authorized equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies, site requirements, and applicable laws and regulations.
