Requirements

At least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Comfortable use of a computer or tablet is preferred.
CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
A Guard Card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and government personnel while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of government buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
Monitor access points and verify authorization for entry, following established procedures for visitors, deliveries, contractors, and restricted areas.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with appropriate personnel and emergency responders when needed.
Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrols, incidents, observations, and other security-related activities in accordance with site policies and applicable requirements.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
