Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and authorized personnel at a government corrections location while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as directed, and maintain awareness of movement within assigned areas.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required activity logs, incident documentation, and communication records in accordance with site procedures.
