As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Agent in Dallas, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal at a government location as an armed patrol officer, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and support access activity with strong customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Possess 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Possess 5 or more years of security-related experience.
  • Possess a Level III Armed Certification for Texas only.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control activities, and appropriate emergency response actions at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and public responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout interior and exterior areas, including perimeter locations, to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entry points, verify credentials, and support restricted area access procedures in accordance with post orders, agency policies, and Allied Universal standards.
  • Carry authorized equipment in accordance with post requirements and maintain professional readiness to respond to escalating situations while following use of force guidelines and reporting protocols.
