As an Armed Security Officer Full Time Government Office in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Security Officer supporting a public transportation location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to evolving situations. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while upholding Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, caring, and integrity. This armed post requires applicable armed guard credentials.

Requirements

• Possess a valid concealed carry weapons permit.
• Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• Possess a valid law enforcement officer license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and personnel by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of transit stations, platforms, entrances, adjacent areas, and perimeter locations, with working environments and conditions varying by assignment.
• Respond to incidents, suspicious activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Monitor access points and restricted areas, helping to deter unauthorized entry and supporting orderly movement throughout assigned locations.
• Carry authorized equipment in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, site policies, and Allied Universal procedures, and complete required documentation for security-related incidents.
