About The Position

As a Armed Security Officer - Shipyard Patrol in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Requirements

• Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Possess a TSA issued TWIC.
• Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns through proper channels.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, restricted areas, and perimeter locations, remaining attentive to unusual activity and/or unauthorized access attempts.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorized access as required, and help to deter prohibited items and/or unauthorized persons from entering designated areas.
• Support emergency protocols, assist with de-escalation when appropriate, and communicate with site contacts, visitors, and local responders during security-related events.
