As a Armed Security Officer - Residential Mobile Patrol Driver in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an Armed Security Officer at a residential community, you will drive and conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with professionalism. You will support residents and visitors through clear communication and exceptional customer service while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, caring, and integrity-driven team.

Requirements

  • Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A valid firearms permit is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of residential buildings, common areas, parking areas, and the property perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorized entry as directed by site policies, and document unusual conditions or incidents.
  • Maintain required firearms qualifications and carry authorized equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies, applicable laws, and site requirements.
