About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time armed security officer for perimeter patrol at an assigned retail site in Bellaire, Texas. The role provides a fixed weekly anchor shift, with a six-month commitment, and the option to claim additional shifts through the company’s scheduling platform. Additional shifts can allow hours to vary up to 40 per week, with the option to scale back. The listed schedule is Thursdays from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM. The pay rate is $22.00 per hour.

The officer provides customer service and carries out security procedures and site-specific policies, responds to incidents and emergencies, conducts armed patrols, monitors access points and activity, and documents observations and incidents. Employment is conditional on applicable background and drug screening. Industry-specific security training is required.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of combined law enforcement, corrections, and/or military experience, or at least 5 years of armed security-related experience.
• Valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements; a valid driver’s license is required for driving positions.
• Texas Level III Armed Certification.
• At least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and store personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations, communicating with store leadership and emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floors, receiving areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points and observe customer and employee activity for unusual conditions, reporting concerns according to site-specific procedures.
• Complete accurate activity reports and incident documentation while maintaining a professional presence in a retail environment.
