Requirements

  • Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card/license.
  • Have at least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a Level III Armed Certification for Texas only.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to an armed post at a financial location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using sound judgment and following post orders and escalation protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including interior areas, entry points, restricted spaces, and perimeter areas, noting and reporting unusual activity and/or conditions.
  • Monitor access activity and help to deter unauthorized entry by verifying credentials, observing visitor interactions, and reporting security-related concerns to the appropriate contact.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of patrols, incidents, and/or daily activities, and communicate relevant information with site contacts, supervisors, and responding personnel as needed.
