As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Reporting in Durham, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Armed Security Officer in a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Requirements

  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
  • Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of building interiors, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with access control procedures, and report security-related incidents or unusual conditions to appropriate personnel.
  • Complete required reports and documentation accurately, maintain professional communication with healthcare personnel, and support a respectful environment for all individuals at the location.
