As an Armed Patrol Officer at a retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns. Requirements

• Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to shoppers, employees, and visitors while carrying out site-specific procedures and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and help deter unauthorized access.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation protocols.
• Maintain readiness and handle authorized equipment in accordance with applicable laws, company policy, and site-specific requirements.
• Document observations, incidents, and suspicious activity accurately, and communicate relevant information to site management, law enforcement, and Allied Universal leadership as required.
