As a Armed Security Officer - Full Time Shipyard Patrol in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Requirements

At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
A TSA issued TWIC is required.
An Armed Guard Card and/or License is required.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to all persons at the location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to an armed post in an aerospace and defense setting.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts, visitors, and/or public emergency responders as needed.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, restricted areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or report unusual conditions.
Monitor access points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization, and report access concerns involving employees, contractors, deliveries, and/or guests in accordance with site protocols.
Support incident reporting, maintain accurate activity logs, and follow post orders related to sensitive locations, high-value assets, and/or security-related operations at the site.
